Film stock
PVC film labels
The most durable of the films, and the one that will hold a genuinely intricate die-cut shape. Also the least forgiving — it shrinks, and you have to plan for that.

Use it when
- Chemical and cleaning products
- Solvents, oils and aggressive contents
- Shower and bathroom products in constant contact with water
- Complex die-cut shapes, stand-up and tactile forms
Look elsewhere if
- Food contact unless a compliant grade is specified
- Long-term storage in heat — PVC shrinks over time
How it behaves

Finishes that work on it
Hot foil and embossing, and it takes an aggressive texture well. Uncoated PVC with a soft-touch varnish is a popular premium finish.

Questions about pvc film labels
Does PVC shrink?
Yes, gradually, with heat exposure. We compensate by cutting oversize, but for a label stored in a hot warehouse for years we would steer you to PET.
Is PVC safe for food?
Not by default. Tell us the end use and we will confirm whether a compliant grade applies.
How intricate can a PVC shape be?
Far more than paper. It is the stock we choose when the die-cut is the point rather than the print.
